Task #4 Downloading e-books - 1) IF I were to purchase such a device, after reading Consumer Reports reviews, I would be inclined to purchase the Sony Reader Touch Edition for economy. It's in the $260-$280 range along with the Kindle and Nook, and has similar ratings in such rating categories as Navigation. Readability rates good in all but the Kindle which rates very good. However, purchasing a Kindle means it is not compatible with offerings in the list of the library's downloadable titles. I've tried the Sony models we have on display, plus attended the training sessions with the Sony rep. I'm not entirely happy with the size of the screen, but could live with it.
2) Stay tuned. I have to think about this one.

Task #3 Intro to MasterFile
The most recent review article for smartphones is in Consumer Reports January 2011, "Find the best fit."
Extra credit (I hope): Stones take it to the max By: Wild, D.. Rolling Stone, 1/9/92, Issue 621, page 24.
Draw the extra ticket from the downtown gift certificate basket. Keepin' my fingers crossed!

Task #2 - Oh, heck--forgot if this is #2 or #3--The one question I got wrong had to do with the contact for error messages on downloadable media. Ooops. One thing about the questions, they made you search all over the website, and since things have changed, it was not straightforward. I'll go back and do some investigating on my own to get familiar with the tabs and what's in them.

Task #1 and #2 Webolution 2011
Task #1 - Getting back on the blog was NOT like riding a bicycle. Cari had to help me twice. Geez. But all is well.
Task #2 - Hey, I'll take the hundred bucks and shop downtown, stop for a bagel and coffee to revive my energy, swing by Heirlooms for Hospice, scan the shelves at the used bookstore. Whatever. This could be an all-day affair. And all with $100.
